I recently embarked on adding Transcendental Meditation into my daily life.
It’s still very new to me and I’m finding right off the bat, I’m challenged with balancing work, home and meditation time. The routine is supposed to be to spend at least 10 minutes meditating in both the morning and the evening.
That doesn’t seem so hard does it? Ugh. Sometimes, it never even crosses my mind. Sometimes, it crosses my mind and I decide in the moment that I just don’t have time. What? 10 minutes. How is it that we can so easily talk ourselves out of precious “me” time?
One of the reasons I was drawn to TM was that it is SO easy to do and just a minimal amount of meditation time can be relaxing, rejuvenating, centering, grounding, balancing…the list goes on and on.
Fortunately, I have some awesome girlfriends who I can schedule meditation time with and so it makes me accountable to at least meditate several times a week. This week, I was able to meditate with my friend Esther who has brought much needed changes to my health and spirituality.
Do you meditate? I would love to hear how you schedule “me” time in your busy schedule to nurture yourself.
P.S. I am so excited to see how TM has made such a positive impact in our schools, military, shelters and prisons – read Quiet Time Changes Lives.
