Since I started practicing TM, I enjoy daily time in meditation and prayer. A message that I started hearing repeatedly was that I would be moving into a new home. A guest house to be exact. Hmmm. What did that mean? I am very happy in my little cottage that I share with my Momma Aleene here in Piru. I love rural living and Piru has welcomed us with open arms over the past two years.
I’ve been consulting for my brother’s real estate company and this last year I have found myself commuting 75 miles round trip. I really had no complaints as I am very appreciative for the opportunity to put my business skills to work in many areas of his company. But this thought kept coming to mind that I would be moving to a new home.
I thought, OK! I’m open to whatever comes my/our way and I’ll just keep holding the vision and the feeling of living in a new unknown place. I have learned that when I hear that inner voice speaking to me, I bless it and get out of the way to see what unfolds.
And then it happened! Little did I know that my guest house would be attached to a 180+ acre ranch, 5,000 feet high in the California mountains. As soon as my brother told me he was looking at this ranch, I knew this was the space that I had been holding in my heart. Then when I visited, my soul screamed H-O-M-E!!!!!!!!
Escrow closed this last week and the renovations have started. Actually, it’s the trash out that is starting first because the prior occupants appeared to have left in a hurry. I look forward to sharing my journey with you as the weekday corporate girl becomes the Weekend Farmgirl!
